About

Most recently, I was a UI Engineer at Robin Games for two years, where we released our debut title Playhouse: Design Game. I enjoyed making the UI look and behave as good as the designers and artists intended. I especially enjoyed the animation and VFX work I created. My time at Robin Games will always hold a special place for me; It’s the most brilliant and kind group of people I’ve ever worked with, and I learned so much about how a really great team operates.

Prior to Robin Games, I spent 8 years in the Innovation R&D department at a Fortune 10 company. I designed and developed tech demos and prototypes in VR, AR and other technologies related to gaming.

When I was selecting a major in college, I thought I was going to be an illustrator or painter. After a year or two of basic art studies, I began gravitating toward disciplines that involved 3D considerations, like sculpture and installation. I changed my major to sculpture and focused on creating environments that inspired curiosity in viewers. Since then, I’ve been focused on primarily the same things; whether it’s a 2.5D game on a phone or an immersive virtual reality experience, it’s mystery, curiosity and the process of discovery that drive me to create engaging interactive experiences.

In my spare time, I’ve created and published games on iOS, participated in Global Game Jams and developed educational VR applications.

I am also a musician, fly fisherman and motorcycle enthusiast. If you’re interested in any of those things, my instagram account tends to reflect those interests over my professional ones.
